Carbonifera Beach, with white sand and shallow seabed, is the perfect beach for families with children!
Carbonifera Beach awaits you nestled in the Coastal Park of Sterpaia, just 16 km from the Village Casa in Maremma, with fine sand dunes and a centuries-old pine forest and lush behind it, able to dive a natural and perfect to shelter from the heat in the hottest hours. The beach gives the tourist a bright and clear blue water that gradually degrades to become the perfect beach for families with children.
The Carbonifera Beach is bounded on one side by the equally beautiful Beach of Torre Mozza, and like the latter, it is characterized by the presence of an artificial cliff located a few meters from the shore. This is by many defined as part of the ancient Aurelia Way, but the most important thing is that this cliff is now home to numerous marine species, so you just need to arm yourself with a mask and a mouthtor to admire up close these wonders of Mother Nature! Completing this wonderful scenery is the view from the beach of the Elba Island and the Island of MonteCristo, a spectacle that becomes even more evocative on a clear day.
The Carbonifera Beach is one of the wonderful beaches of the Maremma, unmissable, that gives the idea of staying right in a natural pool!
But where does his name come from? The meaning of this beautiful beach is linked to the history of its territory, in fact at Carbonifera Beach takes its particular name from the nineteenth-century tower, which still dominates the beach, a former commercial port that marked the terminal point of the railway that once traveled all the Grossetane Hills with which the coal of the mines reached the sea.
Carbonifera Beach is also located near the GeoMare WiBit Water Park, the park with inflatables in the Sea of the Tyrrhenian for the fun of children 5 years and over!

Fantastic
Stayed for 10 days in August, two adults and two teenagers. Used as a base to visit local areas and also Rome and Florence (3 hour drive). Basic accommodation but clean and comfortable. Spent days when at the village in the pool. Pool was everything you needed on scorching hot days…very clean and relaxed…swimming caps are essential and can be purchased at reception. Only ate once at the restuarant but was delicious. We were the only English family and the staff tried very hard to keep us included at all times. Evening entertainment was as expected…we saw bingo, made slightly harder by the translations, and an acrobatic display, which was entertaining despite a fall. Would recommend
Brilliant resort in the Tuscan countryside
Fantastic holiday in villa with excellent pool and on site services. Great staff, kids club, baker visiting every morning with lovely fresh bread, delicious food served in the restaurant on site. Can’t recommend enough will be back for another holiday
perfect for a family holiday
We spent a lovely week enjoying the pool and the beautiful beach nearby (Cala Violina). Each bungalow is well equipped, clean and quite (and air conditioned). Lots of great places to visit in the area from Piombino to Massa Marittima to Castiglione della Pescaia. The staff was very professional and welcoming. Can’t wait to go back!
