• Massa Marittima

Visiting the city, you can admire monuments and architectures of extraordinary beauty and fascination, such as the San Cerbone Cathedral built in 1200 in Romanesque style with its important pieces of art. In the square in front of the cathedral, noticeable buildings include the Palazzo Pretorio, built in XIII century, the Palazzo Medievale of the townhall. In the old town, San Bernardino’s house and the Palazzina della Zecca where coins were coined. Outside the medieval walls, you find San Francesco church and Sant Agostino church, San Rocco church and, last but not least, the Renaissance Building of arms, which are located in the “Città Nuova”.

Massa Marittima has lots of museums: the Archeologic Museum, the Mine Museum, the Museum of Mine’s art and history, the Archeologic Park of Accesa Lake, the old oil mill and the Ancient Falegnameria.
