Don’t miss Torre Mozza Beach, nature, snorkeling and the GeoMare Water Park!
The beach of Torre Mozza with sand dunes and reeds is dominated by an ancient tower of 1500 that still has an incredible beauty and charm!
The beach of Torre Mozza, completely immersed in the natural area of the Coastal Park of Sterpaia, is a beach of the Tyrrhenian coast of absolute landscaped beauty and bathed by clear waters. The tower, from which the town is named, plunges into the sea, letting the tourist perceive the imposing, still so strong, of this defensive structure and sighting of possible Saracen incursions.
For diving and snorkeling enthusiasts, Torre Mozza beach is definitely one of the best in the area due to the presence, just thirty meters from the shore, of a water-sleeping cliff. The reef is home to numerous fish, including bream, edgy, octopus and saragos. Some identify this cliff with a section of the ancient Aurelia Street, the historic road that connected Rome to Cerveteri. Legend or not this stretch of sea deserves a dive or just snorkelto admire this underwater wonder!
At Torre Mozza is the Amusement Park with floating inflatables in the sea contracted with the Village House in Maremma. Exactly the park, consisting of inflatable platforms of various sizes, is located between Torre Mozza Beach and Carbonifera Beach. The park is open from June 1, daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Learn more about this aquatic attraction near Follonica on the GeoMare WiBit page.
How to get to Torre Mozza Beach
The beach of Torre Mozza is reached by going north, it is located in the territory of the province of Livorno just 8 km from Follonica.
The beach is easily reached by car along the Aurelia road towards Livorno (after about 3 km from the exit there is a sign and you have to turn in the direction of Torre Mozza).
Located behind the beach of Torre Mozza there are two parking lots that allow you to park both car and campervan. However, in midsummer they may be a little small compared to the many bathers who go to this resort.
On Torre Mozza Beach there are both beach resorts and a stretch of free beach, so it’s a perfect location for families with children as well as couples or groups of friends who want more free space!

Stayed for 10 days in August, two adults and two teenagers. Used as a base to visit local areas and also Rome and Florence (3 hour drive). Basic accommodation but clean and comfortable. Spent days when at the village in the pool. Pool was everything you needed on scorching hot days…very clean and relaxed…swimming caps are essential and can be purchased at reception. Only ate once at the restuarant but was delicious. We were the only English family and the staff tried very hard to keep us included at all times. Evening entertainment was as expected…we saw bingo, made slightly harder by the translations, and an acrobatic display, which was entertaining despite a fall. Would recommend
Brilliant resort in the Tuscan countryside
Fantastic holiday in villa with excellent pool and on site services. Great staff, kids club, baker visiting every morning with lovely fresh bread, delicious food served in the restaurant on site. Can’t recommend enough will be back for another holiday
perfect for a family holiday
We spent a lovely week enjoying the pool and the beautiful beach nearby (Cala Violina). Each bungalow is well equipped, clean and quite (and air conditioned). Lots of great places to visit in the area from Piombino to Massa Marittima to Castiglione della Pescaia. The staff was very professional and welcoming. Can’t wait to go back!
